Problem with HD formated with HVX

Hi guys,

I formated a fresh 250GB Western Digital HD with my HVX. After I was done using it I wanted to use it as a normal HD. So I tried reformating it with my mac and it only sees the drive as a 128GB drive.

I called WD and trouble shot the drive with them, but in the end the drive is now only seen as a 128GB.

I don't know if the drive had an issue before I formated it, but it was factory fresh, or if formating it (first???) with the HVX did something weird to the drive??

Anyone with any technical knowledge have any clue?

The last thing for me to try is to mount it in a PC and see if that can format it to 250GB....

I'm not 100% sure (as I don't use a Mac), but I think I remember reading that Macs won't see a single Fat32 partition larger than 130gb.

Can't speak from my own experience, but I expect that you'll be able to reformat the drive to full capacity using Disk Utility without any trouble. Now whether you'll be able to use it with the HVX thereafter is another matter...
