FS5: Problem with fs5 and metabones

Anyone else have any problems with metabones mark4 and the fs5 together? Just inboxed everything and my camera doesn't recognize the adapter.

Mine works with the canon and sigma lenses I've tried. I did update the MetaBones to the latest 0.47 firmware but I'm not sure if any of the new features made it compatible with the FS5 per se.

I updated the firmware and tried switching between green and advance modes with no change. Emailed metabones about it with no help really besides asking me to try it on another e mount camera. Will try another one from BH which will be here tomorrow

I had this same issue when i bought the Sony A7 II and the Mark IV adapter. Exchanged the Metabones with the store for a new one, and it worked excellent.

Glad you sent it back to B&H. I had problems with mine awhile back and had to jump through hoops sending it to Japan for repair. Make sure it works perfectly ok, they can be glitchy at times for no reason at all.

I just sent this email to Metabones:

"Hi,

I just updated 2 V4 Metabones for Sony Emount to the latest FW today.

None of my Canon lenses can auto focus with the FS5.

Iris manually works on all the lenses, but auto iris only works on my Canon L 70-200 f2.8 IS, all other canon lenses I get an error message," due to current condition of the lens auto features are not supported”.

Is this normal, and will there be a fix soon if it is?

Lenses I used:
Canon L 70-200 f2.8 IS v1
Canon L 24-70 f2.8
Canon 50mm f1.4
Canon L 100-400 F3.5-6.3 IS v1
Canon Macro 100 f2.8
Canon L 17-40 F4

Any feedback would be helpful.
Thanks"

Is this the way it works for everyone?

Having just used this adapter for the first time today, i know that advanced mode will allow for auto iris, but none of my lenses autofocus. On their website it says autofocus in photo mode only on FS models. Could you autofocus before updating the firmware?
You need to change from "green mode" to "advanced mode" to show focus values and auto iris. etc

I will keep you updated.

I was using these on the FS7 and AF worked great on the earlier FW with the 7. I will try on the FS7 again and see if that broke.

I have also used these Metabones on the A7s and that worked fine as well, as did the FS700.

They didn't get back to you yet Olof?
Yes they emailed me back asking what modes I used (it happens in both modes) and asked for a screen shot of the error message, this is the error message I emailed back:

I am now waiting to hear back again.
