Problem with footage..got question :).

Hey, Just got a new 100b and its amazing. BUT I have a few questions. Im new to final cut pro (used premiere and old camera before this) , and I capture the footage fine but playback on the preview monitor shows what looks to be interlaced footage even though I captured 24pa and im editingin 23.98 timeline. Its not TOO bad during playback on the preview monitor, but after I exported it as a .mov h264 codec....and there is blue ghosting that follows fast movement during the video..and this is NOT in the original footage. heres a frame grab...

any idea what im doing wrong? thanks

does final cut pro remove the interlaced frame? i don't know how final cut works, but 24p advanced is still 29.97 footage with 4 full frames followed by one interlaced frame. if you then get 24fps frames you need to set up the export to give you 24 fps with no fields. i don't have FCP, but i do have quicktime pro so let me check what that set up is and i'll tell ya...of course if you figure it out before then ;)

Please don't bite my head off. I have searched all the posts and can't figure out what I am doing wrong.
I have footage shot in 24p mode from my dvx 100b and I am editing with FCP on a G5. When I capture it, it looks awesome in the viewer, but when I put it on the timeline, the canvas viewer shows lots of break-up in the motion (it is a dance sequence). It looks excellent out of the camera to my television and excellent in the viewer after capture- I am guessing my problem is when I put it on the timeline.
I have followed Graeme Nattress' info on Ken Stone's site to the T. And have tried all of the suggestions found here. No luck.

If someone can walk me through this, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Blondell
