I just bought a dvx100b and have encountered a strange problem...when looking through the eyepiece the image is extremely dark, but when looking at it through the viewfinder it is perfectlly normal. Is there something in the settings i need to change? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well u can go into the viewfinder settings and see if the settings need to be changed in brightness.

However a strange thing happened when I had to change my eyepeice. When I got the new one and put it on...its was very dark...I was messing with it for a while and took it off and found that if u rotate it (much like a polarizer) the darkness/lightness) will change. So when I rotated it to a certain degree it was "A" ok. However the arrow things don't line up...and the rubber eyepeice fits a bit twisted but not a prob at all.

Duno if this will help u. Try taking it off and rotating it.
Btw the viewfinder is the eyepiece. The lcd is what u mean that looks normal.

huh, you were right. I played around with it rotating it like you suggested and the picture did indeed get much brighter. I was worried there for a minute, thanks for helping me out!
