Hey. I have had my dvx 100 a for about a week. I know about the clunking sound, and i know what it sounds like. However, my camera sounds like it has a small screw or something loose inside. I just noticed it and I want to find out what is wrong. I have to ask a dumb question to ease my worries first. On the bottom of the camera, where the mounting holes are, are they both supposed to be covered at the end, or is the one closest to the lens covered and the one closest to the viewfinder open? i am wondering if maybe my screw knocked something out when i mounted the camera?
i am sorry if this is very vague, im just trying to figure out what is wrong

Re: problem with dvx .

Hello Kevin, and welcome the the club. ;)

None of those sockets were covered on my 100A, and I don't think they're supposed to be. The front one (towards the lens) is for alignment purposes : the alignment pin on the quick release tripod plate goes in there.
