problem viewing attachements with firefox

I'm on XP Pro sp2, and have a problem viewing user posted attachements when they come up as thumbnails. It does not show up in firefox, my default browser, yet works in IE, which I refuse to use.

Can't figure out what is wrong.

Anyone else have this issue?

I've been using Firefox under Ubuntu for quite a while now, with no problems that I've noticed regarding this site.

Can you post a link to an example? I'd be glad to test it under both Windows and Linux for you to help narrow down the issue.

Bad quality, but should explain my problem.
I wasn't logged in in IE, but if I am, the image displays normally. In firefox, it's a blank table.

i use firefox and it works fine for me as long as i'm logged in. maybe you need to update your browser.

I went to that exact post, and using Firefox 2.0.0.11 inside of GNU/Linux, it displays properly regardless of if I'm logged in or not (if not, there's just the link to the image, rather than the actual thumbnail, of course). I'll try to re-test on Windows later tonight.

firefox 2.0.0.12
windows xp pro service pack 2
same results.

Well all my friends loved FireFox and so I gave it a try and I must say I appreciated the tabs, but I got tired of the constant "You don't have the newest Java Plug-in" banners all over the place. I think I used it for all of ten minutes. Plus, when IE7 came out with my beloved tabs (and a nicer look than FireFox, might I add) I never looked back.

Let me try to clarify a little. I am not a crazy anti-FireFox guy, and I am not affiliated with Microsoft. I think the reason I don't use it is because I was comfortable with IE, I knew my way around. And with FireFox I liked the tabs and all but I didn't like the constant need to get new Java this or new Flash that. Plus, EVERYBODY had FireFox and I don't like to follow the pact, you know? Then IE7 came out with tabs and a cool new look and I am content.

Here, it's kind of like that arm chair you really like. You've had it for years, but it's comfortable, and you're used to it. Sure it's kind of ugly, but it's home. Then you see that other chair with the recliner and you think "Oh, I like that idea" and so you try it. But it's not as comfortable as your other chair and you are told that you need the newest cushions and filling and you think "My chair already has that!" and so you go back. Then, your chair gets a recliner and new apholstry which makes it look better than the other one. You are comfortable and you are happy.

I don't know if that made any sense, but what do you expect, it's 12:05 AM here in California and I turn around and see that nice inviting bed. See ya guys! (Please excuse any mispellings or gramatical mistakes, like I said it's late [err-earlu?] and I am too lazy to check it over. Maybe I will tomorrow.)

Yes, I do.

Problem solved itself. I have no clue what happened but it works now. Did not restart the system, and firefox did not update or anything. Weird.
