Problem taking still photos..

Ok so I've been taking some head shots of some ppl. I tried with a girl in front of a black background with some lights and a second flash.

For some reason (on every dial setting) she looks nice and colorful in the preview, but when I take the photo she looks all orange. However, in the "Color" mode setting, the colors look white and vibrant when I take the photo.

The problem is, I can't adjust the shutter speed. So any slight movement looks bad.

Can anyone advise me how to adjust the shutter in the color mode or how in a different mode to get the colors/lighting to look as it does in the preview??
 
cant adjust the shutter speed because you don't want to? Are you shooting in full manual or one of those presets like portrait? Are you custom setting white balance?

your using a flash so that plays a factor in not getting the same as preview too. I have yet to figure it out either but its all trial and error. snap look adjust for me
 
Maybe it's the flash that is making her look orange? I don't know why things would be different in color mode, though. (And I don't think it's possible to set the shutter speed in color mode.)
