Problem shooting 12 minutes long interview

Last Friday I shot a 12 minutes interview without stopping the camera. This morning when I looked at the file, I was surprise to find 2 clips on the card. It appeared that the interview was split into 2 clip. The first one is 11:48 minutes and the second one is 28 secondes. When I put the clips back to back it seems that I lost a few frames and the sound at the beginning of the second clip is mute for about 1 second.
Anybody else had this problem? I use a Sandisk Extreme Pro 32GB (45mb/s)
Thanks for your help!

you will need to use a utility to stich them back together, Sony bundled one with your camera - but it only runs on 23 bit windoze, Vegas does this automagicly if you have that, again windoze only, but at least it's written for x64

I use "ClipWrap" on my MBP to do the same thing, works perfectly

Thanks for the reply. I will try it and let you know.
But is it common that this happen? is it meant to do this? I know with our EX1, it use to do it when we are swapping card but I was surprise to see this happening on the FS100.

What I did this morning was using ClipWrap to convert both clips in prores and import the prores files in final cut

Ok I just tried what you suggest using ClipWrap and it did work like a charm. :)

But again, why is this happening?

Thanks Dermot for your great input

This is happening because of a very old disk format from the last millennium called FAT32. Premiere Pro will handle this perfectly without a hiccup.

I thought about that at first but because the 2 files were only 2.1GB and 82MB, and since FAT32 can handle files up to 4GB, I then wondered if it was a problem with the camera or the card.

But now that I know this, I won't worry again the next time it happens.
thanks again guys for your help!
