Problem: SD Card wont go in

I just picked up my camera to film something and when I took it out of the case, the SD card slot was open and the SD was popped out, I tried popping it in (waiting for the little click) and nothing, it will not go back in anymore, I will be sending it back for warranty but I need it next week and it will probably take longer than that to get it back.... has anyone encountered this problem and come up with a quick-fix or can anyone think of one?????????

Cheers, Liam

P.s - I don't have a FMU, so that is not an option.

I took the camera to a Sony Tech here in Melbourne, and he had a look at the camera and saw the pins inside of the memory card slot had been bent, I am not overly aggressive with this camera, but I do think it was my fault. Just be careful when dealing with the SD card's ;-)

hummmm.. and my suggestion was going to be "use a bigger hammer".. guess that's not on eh?

Sounds like someone tried to force a card in the wrong way. Anyone else use your camera?

Other people have used it, so that could be it, it's covered under warranty, which was also a good reminder to me why I bought it here in Australia and not overseas.

I taped a reminder on the camera about how it is inserted, in the heat of the battle I may need it, it is really a back-ass way to insert it.

when I first got my camera, I almost forced my SD card in the wrong way
it almost seemed logical to put the memory card the wrong way by just looking at the body, but Sony has some funky design
