Ok. my camera went into the shop to get a blown firewire port replaced and althought it is mechanically fine now there are two issues that appeared right after it was fixed...
software that captures footage reports that there is no timecode. i haven't changed anything and more importantly everything looks fine, i then even tried changing the few settings that deal with timecode and i still have the same problem.
what setting controls this?? i must be missing something stupid.
the other problem, through the eyepiece (not the lcd) the image is shifted just a little bit to the right, for example on the right hand side the last digit is 75% off the viewable area.
i noticed this while i was at the repair place checking out the camera and the tech is doing some research but says there is no setting he knows of to change this.
has anyone run into this before?
