Problem Printing to tape @ 24p w/ FCP

I am trying to print some 720p back to the HVX. However when the clip is recorded back onto the camera and watched on an HD monitor through component, it looks jumpy. It isn't extreme, but it seems as if there are some skipping frames. The sequence is set to 720p and the firewire setting is DVCPRO hd 720 60p. Is this the problem? There isn't a setting in FCP for firewire to DVCPRO hd 720 24p. At least not that I saw.
Could it be that the comp speed is not up to the task?

wait wait wait....i was going to ask this, but ill ask in here.

Its possible to actually send an edited movie from FCP back to the P2 card on the HVX? If so, right now thats the only way to watch anything edited on my 50inch LCD Proj. HDTV without overscan. My smaller 26inch will display as a dual monitor setup beautifully edited movies in preview mode in FCP.

But if i can export edited movies from FCP back to the P2 card then that would rock! is that possible?

or is that why this guy is having problems?

Yes it is possible, though you may not want to take my word for it. Just make sure you set the correct firewire setting (dvcprohd 720 60p in my case) under audio/video settings in FCP. Make sure the HVX is also set to this. While the HVX is in MCR mode, clear the thumbnails view and then print to tape with FCP. The video should show up on the LCD. You can then record onto the p2 card.

thats CRAZY! thats the first thing im going to try when i get outta here! Thanks for the tip, sorry i couldnt give you a tip, but if i get it working correctly, ill tell ya what i did to do so!

Thanks again and good luck
