Problem Importing mts file from AF100

I have just recently got my AF100 so I'm still figuring out my post workflow for my AVCHD mts footage. I was importing the mts files straight into MC5 and it was working fine until I hit a 25min clip in which the estimated time caption at the bottom of the box disappears. I left it over night and it still wasn't done. I tried a AVCHD restorer that came with the camera and it said that it fixed the error. But I tried importing after fixing the files and the same thing happens. This is a huge problem because this is the longest clip I've tried to import and it is a full interview which is the main part of the piece I'm working on. Is this a common problem? And is there something I can do to save my footage?

Have you tried unwrapping the clip using Clipwrap then importing into Avid, or even linking to the unwrapped file using AMA? Works for me on my GH1 mts files.

Thanks for the advice. Clipwrap sounds like its a mac Application... You use AMA for your MTS files? what version of Avid are you running? Everyone says that Avid's AMA doesn't work with MTS yet. Anyway I have a af100 and I've been importing fine. It's just the big clip that I'm having problems with.

Right - AMA will not link to MTS files, but once unwrapped, they become MOV's and then AMA will link to them. I am using a Mac - not sure if a similar work flow exists for PC.
