problem importing, dvx to fcp

Hello folks,

Here's the problem...With our log and capture imports from the dvx100a to fcp it captures the clip ok but instead of ending at the point where we stopped shooting it adds a short bit (less then a sec) of the next shot to each and every clip.

We're doing a 'log and capture' import with NTSC Basic and NTSC 48khz Advanced 2:3:3:2 capture pulldown.

Are we doing something wrong or is this a hardware issue?

how did you shoot the footage?

don't use advanced pulldown unless you shot 24pa

It does this to me too, and Premiere Pro did the same as well. It really doesn't bother me, it's pretty easy to trim the end off.

Thanks for the suggestion...Unless someone fat fingered something I'm fairly certain we were shooting in 24pa mode.

I'm wondering if the time code is off on the camera somehow and if we can reset it.

Or could this be the result of a tape head that needs cleaning?

btw...We got the same result importing directly from the camera or using a Sony HDR-HC21.
