Problem capturing video from DVX100A to computer

I think I may be missing a cord. I remember that there is a cord that connects the camera to the computer, but I don't seem to have it. I believe that it comes from the tape itself, but I'm not sure. The only experience I've had with the camera is filming. I am just learning to edit now, and I think I'm missing something extremely vital. Do you know what it is that I'm missing, what it looks like and where I might be able to find one? I am living and filming in Brazil so I may have to purchase it online, but I need to know what I'm looking for.

Please help!!

A word of warning -- if your computer has the more common 6-pin firewire port, then ALWAYS connect the cable to the computer FIRST, then the camera. NEVER connect the camera first, unless the computer is powered OFF. Doing so can easily blow the firewire port on both camera and computer.

I don't know who ships to Brazil. The cable can be ordered from Amazon.com, Best Buy, Radio Shack, B&H Photo and Video, and tons of other places. Good luck!
 
I don't know about Brazil, but here in Chile they sell the cable in a lot of places, electronic stores or computer stores. Cost around 5 to 10 dollars. So look around, I am pretty shure you will find it, no need to shipit from other country
