Hi everybody,
I recently bought my Panasonic DVX100. As soon as I tryied to capture the video into the computer Final Cut (or iMovie, Premiere...whatever) cannot detect the camera...basically is like if the camera is not connected.
I connect my camera though the new Firewire 800.
Ive been reading on the web that many people had this same problem, and most of them they resolved the issue buying an external hard drive (with firewire) and connecte the DVX to the hd with the firewire...and then connect the hd to the macbook (using the external hard disk as a "bridge"). today i've been in the Apple store too anf they wasnt able to do anything but they said it should work with the idea of the "bridge".
Now my question is: is it possible that i "fried" the firewire circuirtry??
I could buy the external hard disk....but i wonder if the firewire of my camera will be still working.
if anybody had the same problem or know any way to resolve it please post here :happy:
