Problem capturing DVX sound with Canon elura 80

I want to use my little canon elura 80 to capture the footage shot with my DVX-100 a and b. My prblem is this : The image is fine , but the sound isnt. It studders a hole lot , jumps and glithces.

Anyone has any idea why ? And what I should look for ? Sound is already at 16 bits on both cameras , so I am clueless for the moment...

Well the thing is that the Canon playsback its own tapes perfectly. But when I try a canon recorded tape in the DVX for example it also glitches and studders... Really annoying ... Maybe ill get the heads cleaned , but im not to sure this is the problem... Seems like compatibility ... But is that possible ?
