So we are in the middle of a shoot. I have 2 cards that I need to upload, and my card reader is MIA. Can I upload straight from camera via USB? And if so, how? Thanks guys. Never done it any other way!
 
Yes you can. Go into playback thumbnail mode, then hold down the playback button for 2 seconds to enter Host mode (switch between USB and FW in menu).
 
Yes you can. Plug in the USB cable, then use the mode button to change to playback mode, then HOLD the mode button down for another three seconds. That'll put the camera in PC mode, and the card slots will then show up on your desktop as external storage devices and you can copy them over. Depending on your computer you may need to install device drivers, but with modern computers that's not likely. Oh, one other thing, go into the menus and make sure that you have USB DEVICE selected, not USB HOST and not 1394 DEVICE.
