Pro cleaning and servicing

so i sent it off to robbs repair today. its gonna be between a $150 -$750 dollar fix based on the problem. possible probs are dirty heads that need more thorough cleaning than what i did, aligning something...or complete cylinder replacement ($750) i dont think its that major based on the fact i can still record stuff...but who knows. Now the waiting begins.

Robb's repair is awesome, the guy is so friendly and really knowledgeable. Can't say enough good things about his business. I'm sure he'll treat you right.

thanks for the reassurance longshanks...i read alot of good stuff on this site about his service. Also when I emailed him and told him the details of the prob he wrote me a DETAILED email of the possible probs and even some stuff i could try before sending him. Seems pretty kool.

yup. I was gonna go to FL to one of the places u gave me chuck but it turns out shipping it was pretty inexpensive. However I may yet be heading to FL soon...the Girlfriend may move there for a job.

Soooo....I FINALLY got back my camera yesterday. And I was wrong...major repair this was. The cylinder went bad and needed to be replaced...however they can't just replace it...they have to replace the whole assembly they say. $750 fix. I was like damn! BUT luckily I'm under manufactures warrenty which ends in OCT!! I dodged that bullet. So I tested it a ittle yesterday and everything seems fine. Will be testing it all day today putting it through its paces b4 I take it out on a job. Robbs Repair was great to work with...very communicative when I need stuff answered and just all round good service.

Oh one more thing...I duno how the warrenty stuff works really up there in the US...but is there a way to extend this manufactures warrenty or get another extended one? I duno. Holla at me.
