If you get them from e-bay, make sure you buy the accessories they offer you!
Also, money orders insure even quicker shipping.

hell yeah, an ARRI moviecam on my paypal-account is just what i need right now....

Re: Pro Cameras used in Music vids

Well it's all budget story...
Don'tknow much about American Market but here (Paris, FRANCE) we often shoot in 16mm and then do post in HD environment.

With small budget we sometimes shoot Digibeta with 35mm lenses or big DVCAM (DSR 500 series)

DVCPRO is almost unknown here... (because France is a country under the dictatorship of Sony) but it's getting noticed, hope DVCPRO HD will brake the market !

Actually Arri and Movicam are different things, but I'd like any of them in my paypal anyday...

Man, I didn't know how much were France and Brazil alike!

Cameras are cheap...it's the lens package that's going to drive you into the dirt.

May be Panasonic is a little bit responsible...

Not so easy to find an ag-dvx100
or
to have your email never replied from the sale representant of your area
or
the impossibility to rent an sdx-900.
and so on...

The lack of good forums is a problem too. Without fair informations...
I was reading recently on the worst but most influent french forum (imo) "le repaire" something about the new sony...

It was in the news section about the HVR-Z1, the pro version of the HDR-FX1 and it was written :

"The interlaced mode is a must to have a not-jerked motion"

The line was quoted from Sony apparently...

When people is reading this kind of bullshit, it's really hard to speak about progressive mode after.

So the time has come for panasonic to hire a sales director for france !
May be they'll do it for their next "killing" HD prosumer camera : 1080, 24p/25p/60p, 4:2:2 - 5000€/$

Re: Pro Cameras used in Music vids

I have been shooting with the 900 for the past week and do I ever love it. There is even a file to match the 100A. Panasonic is stealing my heart. (do not tell my wife)
