Print - To - Tape DV

Hello. I normally use vegas 5 for exporting my movies, using the print-to-tape method. However, now I am using avid xpress pro, and i am very confused on the best way to export my movie. Basically I want to print it back to DV tape. How do I go about doing this?

YOu use the Digtial Cut Tool.

What version software is it? Is it 29,97 or 23,976? Mojo or sotware only?

^^Sry i left that out. It is a 23.9 prjt without Mojo.

If you are running on XP Serice Pack 2, you should upgrade to XPress Pro HD (v.5.0) which allows you to ouptut to DV from a 23.976 project type without a Mojo. It will reinsert NORMAL or ADVANCED back over the FireWire.

If running 4.6 of eitehr flavor, then a Mojo is required to output from 23.976p to DV. Or you can always encode as MPEG2 and make a DVD.

If you're running 4.6 (no mojo) and really need it on tape, export it to AE or similar, add 3:2 pull-down, reimport it into AXP in a 29,97 project and record it to tape.
