Right after the completion of the Olympics. They have been touting the Panasonic cameras for the event including the HPX250. My estimate is that after the Olympics there will be a ramp down in prices. It may not go as low as before.
I just noticed B&H has discontinued HPX250 Pal model, and US model are out of stock, The only thing comes across my head is, The new improved version may be on it's way like HPX250A.
What ever happened to the HPX-255? Is it supposed to be the next HPX-250 w/ paint box control, limited to 164 ft (50m) max cable length? Most larger venues, the producer would need something like 300-600 ft to properly run the cable and meet fire dept's code.
No there isn't an HPX250A. I think the political Conventions took a good number of them and it wasn't expected that they would take as many as they did. And because the camera is actually getting a foothold on success and selling fairly well, between these two unrealted ideas, I think a number of dealers are a little short of supply.
Thanks Jan theres just to many rumors out there, like the AF200.I personally cannot wait for the Panasonic all in one 4K with internal uncompressed 4:4:4 12 bit video and 32 bit uncompressed sound camera.
