Price drop on Canon C500 and C100

After the release of the C100 update, the Mark II, the original C100 remains on the market at a reduced price, $3,999.


C500 now 15,999.

There's also C-100 MK I with a Dual-Pixel auto focus update. B&H (and other retailers, I assume) is offering it with the various packages. There's one for $4,999, including the 24-105mm F/4 lens. That's probably a better deal than the original at $3,999. IIRC, the Dual Pixel update was ~ $500 and the lens was $1,199.

I think Canon needs something 4k in the FS7 price range but I'm sure their marketing department knows a lot more than I do.
