Previous PHX300 owner keen to know if the 370 or 250 improved the skew and noise?

I sold my HPX300 1 month after purchasing it the day it hit the market 2 years ago. The noise and skew was absolutely unbearable so I switched to the EX3 with an AJA Ki Pro... but it's not compact enough for my style of shooting. The upcoming 250 looks like the camera to buy, but noticed it's using the 370's 3mos chip instead of the 170's CCD.

Anyone care to comment on the performance of the 370's 3mos. Does it resolve the 300's issues? Better image than the 170?

There's a lot of hype with the 370.

The skew is not really a problem but the cmos chip under performs IMO.
Panning with the 370 results in blurry/mushy images.
Rent it first for a real job and evaluate with a critical eye.
The 250 will suffer from the same flaws. JMO.

Skew is a lot better in PAL than NTSC or 24p but make sure you also look at completed edited footage rather than juts looking at the viewfinder or LCD screen, also the composite outs can not be a good as a completed edit sequence.

I was hoping to rent a 370 for exactly that reason, but none in NYC to be found!? Anyone know where I could rent one?
