Preview on a laptop

I'm aware of scopebox and DV rack for monitoring the HVX200 in the field. Is there a cheaper option out there?

final cut pro has a preview window for live capture but the window seems to only go to standard def.

Is there any way to software preview the full image without spending for scopebox or dvrack? Are there any cheaper options?
