Preview of scene from horror film

Do you think that you could have gotten any more repetitive? It started out really good with the wheelbarrow and the hanging in the building.....but after that?

Yes, it was definitly repetitive. But they haven't even officially gone into post yet. Give the guy a break, he was just playing around and trying to make a few selects a little more exciting.

Why? The thing i have learned from posting early is...don't do it. It does look good for a couple of shots, but after that.......it is the same shot over and over. Should I give an honest opinion or just massage somebody?

I'm completly for giving an honest opinion. All I'm saying is that critique is only helpful in relation to the intention of the original post. For example, I have seen many cinematographers on this forum preface a post by saying the following is a compilation of shots from a film I recently shot. And yet constantly the sound recording is brought up, the pacing, etc.

Sorry! I did not see that he was hired as the editor until just now. NEVERMIND... since you are the editor of the film as well, I do agree that posting such a rough, and as maverickstunts pointed out, repetitive piece so early on may not have necessarily been in your best interest. Stills for now maybe? Once you get your hands on some more footage, cut together a scene, a rough cut, or even a trailer and then post it. While I understand your enthusiasm to share your footage, from what you showed, there's not much constructive criticism that many people can provide.

Looks great, but i'm not sure about the editing? This played more like a Movie Trailer, Music Video or "the Blue Man Group" than a scene from a movie. I'm referring to everything matching up to the beat of the music. Very cool look though!
