Preview from DVI

I see on Avid's web site that xpress pro 5.5 can display full screen video on a LCD monitor through the DVI out. Does this apply to Xpress pro HD? I have version 5.2.4, or is this only for Xpress Pro version 5.5?

That is a new feature witl 5.5. Depending on system it may require a new graphics card.

Ok. On Avid's website it just says Avid Xpress Pro, not Avid Xpress Pro HD. Is the 5.5 upgrade HD?

There was a namwe change between Avid Xpress Pro HD (v. 5.1) and Avid Xpress Pro (v.5.2). Same app, different name.

5.5 is HD ready. It does have DVI out.

For the DVI preview display, do I need to have 2 Nvidia VideoCard? Because I plan to build my new NLE computer for september. Because I plan to purchase Avid Xpress Pro with Mojo, but if I can have a realtime preview via DVI, I won't purchase Mojo.

The DVI works as full screen display on the 2nd monitor. We're using the Nvidia Quadro 1300.

But the preview offer in DVI is realtime or not?
Just one Nvidia video card is required for the setup?

It plays real-time. just make sure you've got the RAM.

I think that 2 gigs of RAM Corsair Twin-X 2 2048 (2 x 1024) DDR 2 CAS 4 should be okay.
