Pretty Ricky vs. The Daily Show

this requires a bit of a back story:

About a month ago a friend of mine posted a link to a YouTube video on his Facebook wall with the simple comment "What the hell is this??"

The video (found here) is of a bunch of guys that pretend-gang-bang an ottoman while they introduce themselves. It seems they are a band or something. I dunno. Anyway, the video has been watched an ungodly 700,000 times (and I'm not helping by posting it) and has gained fame all around the net.

So much in fact that the guys at the Daily Show made a point out of using it while making fun of the CNN YouTube debates. I watched the show and laughed so hard I fell off the couch. Then I spent days trying to find it on the Daily Show site and finally I did so now I'm sharing it with the world

So, once again.

i'm beginning to think that as a society we collectively get dumber with each passing year.
 
They're making fun of Pretty Ricky (the original video). If anyone knows anything about Pretty Ricky (which you don't, but I'll inform you), they are basically a bunch of 20 year olds who make grind music for little kids. All of their songs have strong sexual references and they do a lot of over-the-top sexual gestures in their videos, so this was a parody of it.

I thought of doing one myself, but not to that extreme lol.

it's pretty sad to think they earn money doing that. maybe i should shoot a video of me getting it on with a papasan chair.

They earn money from making music with strong sexual content and performing at concerts.

Some of you here might have bought your daughters tickets to their show and just don't know. Ever heard of a little tour called the "Scream" tour . Ask your daughters.

This is just part of their show.
 
That was great.

I love the Daily show too. I actually didn't have any idea what that ottoman thing was a reference to when I watched that originally. Now it's even funnier.
 
What I thought was funny is all the guys in the original video were "doing" what they were doing from one side... then this other guy comes around and "does" it from the other side... like he's umm... humping her face... :beer:

No, I just randomly post in threads hoping that what I say will have some relevance to the topic...

From the way you wrote that, especially the part in bold, made it seem as if you thought these guys were Pretty Ricky, when in fact, they're just a bunch of random guys making fun of Pretty Ricky. So I simply took the time to inform you and anyone else that may have thought that.

In other words, The Daily show made fun of something that was already making fun of something else.
