Preserving Best Resolution

Hello,

Thanks for any info on this subject.

I've tested bringing in P2 footage into MC Adrenaline. Seems to work fine.

The resolution is 1080i. Looks like its compression is DVCPro HD.

If I need to output a file for color correction at another facility, I was wondering
what the best way is among these:

1. A same as source Quicktime Export seems really fast and is only about 450megs for 30 seconds of video. But...does Quicktime support DVCProHD.
It comes up white in my Quicktime Player

Secondly, If I export Same as Source (DVCProHD in this case) am I in effect
putting it through another compression on the way out of the Avid?

2. Is an uncompressed Quicktime better?

3. A tiff sequence?

Thanks in advance.

Any professional DI/ post house that you would be going to for coloring should be able to work with your Avid MXF file structure. I worked on a lo budget production a while back and the producer didnt want to spend the 600 per hour for a Davinci coloring, so the post house he wanted to go thru requested either uncompressed quicktime or Tiff sequence.
