Howdy all, crazy news, right now I'm helping my friend line up a feature which will go into production on May 20th and we're shooting on two RED ONE cameras!!!! I'm closing the deal tomorrow for the rental and we're going to begin building the sets in late april!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!! I won't take any credit for this production, I didn't raise the money or get the actors or write the script but a good friend of mine did and I'm so stoked to be working on a feature like this!!!! My blood is boiling... I'll keep you posted and fill you all in on more details as they come, right now I'm almost too stoked to type!!!:love4:
 
HDKILLEDFILM, you're going to the RED ONE from the HVX200, right? Do give us your hands on Experience on working with the "ferrari" of "affordable" cameras!
 
Guys thanks a ton! It's strange to be working on a real budget film for me, my thing is more run and gun indie shooting. I'll be sure to let you guys know how things work out, I won't be shooting this one. I'll be overseeing the ingest of the footage and maybe doing some other work, right now I have alot on my plate (Like finishing another feature and trying to find funding for another lol). I'm sure I'll get to play around with it and I'll be pestering the DP with questions, but hey what else is new?

Maybe it's just me, but when you come from the world of feeding your crew ramen and pizza having a budget seems alien....
 
Congrats! Good job HDkilledFILM - our DVXusers seem to be jumping into the spotlight. '08 sounds like a good year for filmmakers.

Don't be overwhelmed, man! Doing films the "indie Way" and getting distribution for it is the best "battle scar"you can show to the "budget boys"! :)

They are very lucky to have you on the team... Do keep us posted on the project!

(I would like to share my own short film experience with you guys later, but since its still in post production/soundtrack composition, is too early to share...But will certainly do it when I have at least a trailer to show :) )

It's funny, I just found out the budget for the lighting alone and it's larger than the budget for my past two features.............. COMBINED. lol.

I've got to get an agent, it's killing me to know that if you have someone who can speak for you getting money for your projects is more than a dream.

I want someone who can walk into a meeting and rep me like this::costumed-smiley-047
