Premiere resets to beginning of footage at each cut

I'm about to lose my mind. Every month we release a couple of DVD's with different people talking / demonstrating something for the camera. We cut between a close and tight shot periodically. For some reason now, though, every cut makes the footage go back to frame one of that clip of footage. It doesn't matter where you cut it, it resets the footage to frame 1 on the frame after the cut. It's not immediate, either. It's only after the render. It's doing it throughout this entire project, but has never happened on previous projects.
