Premiere Playback looks like Snow

I'm editing mpeg .mts files in CS5 from my new GH2 DSLR on my PC. When I playback the clips in Premiere Pro it looks like it is snowing in the clip, from left to right, on all clips. This snowy static does not appear in CS5 AE, and it does not appear if I play the clips back from the desktop in VLC or any other player or on our TV.

I tried this is two separate sequences, one using the Digital SLR Preset for DSLR 1080p24 and one using the AVCHD 1080p24 Preset. Both of them show the snowy static from left to right in all clips.

Did I fix it? I think so. I changed the Playback Resolution from 1/2 to Full and the Snowy Static is now gone during Playback. Could it have been that easy? I guess.

So if I don't have a CUDA Nvidia card that will do on the fly rendering when I get CS5, will I also have to edit at 1/2 quality and get the same problem?

I have a GTX 260 and it works with the Hack so I'm not really sure what your experience will be like or if you'll get the Snow in 1/2 quality. You certainly can edit with the Snow but it just is irritating to look at, in my opinion. Taking it to Full fixed the issue for me. I'd like to hear if anyone else has experienced this. I should load Premiere on another PC and see if I get the 1/2 Snow thing there.

Had the same issue with a new gh2. Gotta try full resolution fix! Glad to know it's not a camera issue.
