Premiere basic questions...

Many thanks to those who have helped so far. I have a few more basic questions as a post-FCP convert-in-the-works.

1.) When I would leave sequences open in FCP for the night, they would all be rendered in the morning. It would just do that if left alone. Is there something I can do to activate that in Premiere? I can't find it anywhere.

2.) If I click the Audio 1 track (for example), it becomes a lighter gray color. But it's not muting it. What is it doing to that track? Same question for "A1" and "V" being highlighted.

I would google these, but I don't know what keywords to use as I'm not sure what I'm really looking at.

3.) Also, how do I find a clip that's in my timeline in my project bin? In FCP I'd highlight it, put the playhead on the clip and press F. It would pull the clip with ins and outs in my viewer window. I've changed my shortcuts to FCP, but that didn't do it.

4.) How do I alphabetize my project bin? It arranges everything by import date / time instead.

1) no auto rendering in premiere. Just press enter to render all the clips that are under the work area bar, the extendeable bar on the top of the timeline. So firt be sure your work area bar is on the whole timeline
2) to mute a track, click on the audio symbol on the left of every track
3) right click on clip in timeline and select "reveal in project"
4) click on "name" in the project bin

:)

Try Lynda.com, I used it to learn Premire from FCP. Now its just simple to undestand and use.
