Premiere and Settings

Just got off the phone with Adobe tech support trying to find the correct Project setting for the HVX 200 in Adobe Premiere Pro 2. Because it was a .hvx file converted using Cineform he could not tell me which preset or custom setting was needed. He wanted to know the name of the codec inside the .avi wrapper.

Does anyone know the correct project setting for 720/24p footage?

Thanks

near the bottom of the following page . . .

I used the project setting HD-SDI> 720p 60 and brought in avi files from DV Rack that I captured at 720 24p. I then did an interpret footage on the clip (right click on clip in project window to HD anamorphic) to get the proper aspect ratio and it looks great. I'm not sure about the CineForm converted file....hope that helps, and let us know how it works out....

You can give this a try:

I just finish two shrot features using this work flow (general terms):

HVX200:
F6, 1080 24p (some other settings at my taste)

Cineform:
encoder options: large
Frame rate change (advanced): Remove3-2 pulldown
Rate change: no change
Maintain audio pitch: yes
Resize video: 1280x720
Keep source aspect ratio: yes

Premiere 2.0 :

Cineform preset: AspectHD 1280x720

That's all, no problem real time CC and transtitions.
Long render for Magic bullet FX

I edit in a Pavillion zv600 (AMD 3200) 1GB RAM, laptop with external USB 250GB HD
