I realize this is probably the wrong spot but I'm looking for a quick answer.
I'm filming a debate tomorrow and they want it up on vimeo as soon as possible. I'm planning on exporting right out of FCP using the quicktime conversion option. Is there a way to calculate the correct bitrate to make it under 1GB while keeping the highest quality file intact?
I'll be shooting 720/24p and would like to keep it HD. I'll use the H.264 codec and was thinking my bitrate should be limited to about 2000 kb/s but would hate to have it render for an hour only to find out that it is bigger than a gig...
Is there any calculation possible to predict the exact size?
