Pre Record Function on the EX

[BrenMyster]

Just wondering if anyone knows if the EX had that same function that the HVX has, where it can pre record 3 seconds of video in the buffer and then keep it on the card if you hit record.

Not sure how clear this sounds, but ti think you can get me

[Stevet]

No it does not.
It would of been nice, that's for sure.

This is something that is rumored (but not promised) to be in the upcoming software update.

Ok, cheers

That's probably what I miss the most, switching from an HVX to the EX1.

Now I'll have to do it the old fashioned way: develop my psychic skills and constantly predict three seconds into the future.

At a Final Cut Pro User's Group Meeting in LA, Sony said that an upgrade to support the 32GB SxS card would be coming. They were looking into additional features, like the pre-record function. HOWEVER, Sony made it clear that only the support for 32GB was a given. Everything else was still up in the air.

Once the 32GB SxS cards come out, we'll know for sure....
