Practical set-up advice for indoor birthday videoshoot

Hi All,

I am seeking your advice on a specific area. This coming Saturday, 22nd October, I've been tasked with videoshooting a friend who's mother is celebrating her birthday. Below are the tentative details :

Thanksgiving/birthday celebration starts 6:30pm
Venue : Indoor (Church sanctuary)
Followed later by dinner in a separate hall.
Church can accomodate around 1000pax.
Church decorated with stained glass on the walls (with flowers too, I suppose).
Internal lighting is said to be not too dim...decent lighting.

Equipment I am using :

Pan. 102AE
100watt halogen videolight mounted on camera light shoe
Standard tripod
Shotgun microphone (AG-MC100G)

Most important for the shoot is that skin tone is rendered as best/accurately/realistically as possible, video images captured do not appear to be too dark during indoor shoot & images have a more "film-like" effect as compared to home video.

My questions are :

1) What settings should I use to shoot film-like quality images, 50i or 25p?

2) Intend to do some post effects like slow-mo. Is it true that slow-mo is harder to achieve in 25p than it is in 50i?

3) What matrix, gamma, masterped, Detail Coring, Chroma Phase, Detail Level, Color Temp setting should I use for the best film-look? Should I use Cine_V, or Cine_D, etc to achieve the best looking film look?

4) How should I adjust the A.Iris to achieve optimum exposure without making the image look grainy (in low-light shooting conditions)?

Oh, concerning my videolight, since 100watt is very bright, I plan to aim it upwards to achieve bounce light so that the brightness doesn't make the images too overexposed. Any other tips to look out for & precautions to take note would be very much appreciated. Much thanks in advance

We are a Singapore startup company. Looking for an amateur filmmaker to help us produce a product launch video on a shoe-string budget.

The product we have is pretty revolutionary - it is a Nail Jett Printer. Yes - it prints nail art direct onto ladies' finger nail.
