I'm getting a "The importer reported a generic error" message from PPro when I try to import an image from Photoshop CS6.
How I got here is, I exported a video frame from PPro as a *.tif file. I opened the file in photoshop, added three adjustment layers, two text layers, then saved it as a *.psd photoshop file with a different name. Then I went to PPro, found the new file in media browser, clicked on the file to highlight it, clicked on "File...Import from Media Browser", and got the error pop-up.
I've looked and looked, but can't figure out what about this seemingly simple process could be causing any kind of a problem.
OTOH, if I save the file as a *.tif (flattened), it imports just fine. But I don't want to do that, I want to leave it as a photoshop file so that when I edit it in photoshop, the edits transfer over to PPro automatically. I mean, it's a title slide for a video, and when has a client not wanted to edit a title slide? And I've done this same thing dozens of times and it's always worked just as slick as glass. So... what's wrong with this particular time? I can't see it which means it's probably something really simple I'm overlooking... sigh...
