Powering the new Panny monitor

What sort of DC power sources are out there for powering the btlh80w 8in monitor.
It has a 4-pin XLR DC-in terminal.

I have IDX v-lock batteries and I'm trying to avoid having to use them with an adapter- or worse yet having to buy all new anton bauer batteries/charger.

I sure am looking with lust at the new Nebtek with a panasonic battery mount, but alas, I am where I am.

Any ideas/help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

It looks like it needs about 20W of 12VDC power to run. The 7.2V Panasonic "HVX" battery is out of the question. You would need a 60-90WH 12V-14V battery to power it for 3-4 hours.

Thanks for the suggestions guys...

I'm also wondering about battery belts, as they are at least reasonable in price and I wouldnt have to worry about finding 4-pin XLR adapters.

hmmm,
Mike

No problem. if you want to see how I'm powering mine with those tekkeon check out this thread. You would have to find how to get those 4 pin ones to the tekkeon. This is also using my tekkeon to rail mounts. note the batteries are in the front of the camera here, but most likely will be in the back of the camera usually.(tekkeon has interchangeable tips. so probably not too hard to make one. or they might even have something already made)

Does someone have a pinout for 4-pin XLR? I'm building my own battery packs and I'd like them to have some use in the future.

Now that I dug around I found it, too. Thanks!

Hi Mike,

I know that you can buy an IDX to Anton Bauer Adapter plate. I would check with IDX to see if they have an Anton Bauer to IDX Adapter plate.
