powerful enough lighting kit?

A little more info about what you are shooting would be good. If you are lighting Shea Stadium; no. One or two people not too far away; yes. Indoors or outdoors makes a huge difference.

Hi jdkhanlian,
The light kit you mention will just about cut it for interview setups with an HPX170 with Letus Extreme and an f1.4. If however, you are using an older Letus, f2.8 or above (or lighting setups with greater distance between subject and light source) I am afraid you may regret your purchase.

I use an Arri openface 1k with a Chimera as a key on interview setups and sometimes wish for more.

Also worth noting, a 750 watt Tota might work well for bathing a background in light, but is virtually uncontrollable if you want to flag darker areas.

My advice? Save another 500 and pick up a used Arri kit. I use the Softbank IV, but anything with a bit more punch and control will work.
