Hahahaha that was hilarious...I hate doing it but that, "Oh hell no! That girl's a dude?" line cracked me up!!

Thanks guys, got a few more toys to make videos with. Cleaning out the storage room can be fun :)

These Iscorama lenses are a revelation in my opinion. Gives a bigger film like feel than a 24p mode alone ever could in my view. A must have for the 5D. Wish I could find one in the UK. If anyone has one let me know :)

yeah, I hardly notice that this one is 30p because the rest of it reminds me of 80's film stock with the isco, color correction and added grain. It's easier to tell when you're watching people move though.

Yeah, you do notice but in a good way - I am appriciating 30p right now. I don't have a downer on it. Lenses like this and the Hasselblad adaptability on the 5D are a welcome surprise for an ex-GH1 user used to the luxury of so many adaptable lenses. The 5D is really working for me. Sometimes, especially on camera movement (tracking shots, pans) 30p is less tiring on the eyes than 24p and gives a smooth sheen to the image.

Cinema is about so much more than just frame rate. In my view, 24p is overrated and anamorphic lenses (apart from here and now) generally underrated.

Badass Akira! That was some funny shi*.

Thanks bro

commanderspike: 30p is alright for doing tv and commercial type stuff and making interesting experimental films. Ultimately there is nothing wrong with 30fps but there is a certain cadence to 24fps at 1/48th that conjures up an emotional feeling (as if that arguement hasn't been beaten to death). Here's a more practical reason I dig 24p though, it's the fact that 24fps allows you to reserve higher frame rate options for slower motion instead of blowing all your higher fps toward the base frame rate. Until all cameras can shoot at crazy high framerates that it won't matter I'd still be wanting 24p as a base for that fact alone. (i.e. 60fps slowed to 30fps is slow, but even slower if slowed to 24) :violin:

all that aside, I'd LOVE to shoot a film with a 48fps base framerate. I'd need a cam that could shoot at least 96fps to get some decent slow motion but it would be amazing.

Thanks guys! Little off topic but I just heared this today, a film I scored last year is playing at Screamfest LA tomorrow Oct. 17th so if you're near Hollywood check it out 'Abraham's Boys' playing at Graumans Chinese Theater: http://www.screamfestla.com/showFilm.php?movie=abraham

It's shot super16mm, based on a short story by Joe Hill (Stephen King's son) and about Van Helsing
