Hi,

I'm on my way to Taiwan soon and will bring my DVX there. I heard that the wattage is actually the same there so it would be ok to charge my DVX there without buying any power converters...anyone can confirm/deny this?

thank you

Re: Power Conversion in Taiwan for the DVX?

North America, Taiwan and Japan: 100 - 120 Volts AC, 50 / 60 Hz
Europe, Asia (except Taiwan and Japan) and Oceania: 200 - 240 Volts AC, 50 / 60 Hz

ok thanks Nick...I dont think I quite understand all of that technical details, but basically you are saying that its ok right?

Re: Power Conversion in Taiwan for the DVX?

specifications are the same as North American electrical specifications. North American appliances use NEMA 1-15 or 5-15 plugs and should function normally with no modification of the current required. However, the NEMA 1-15 receptacles may not be polarized (one vertical blade taller than the other) and you may not have access to NEMA 5-15 grounded receptacles (plug with 3rd prong for grounding) . North American adapters are recommended if your appliances' plugs are polarized or have a grounding pin.

Notes:
United States A/C outlet configurations are NEMA 1-15 (w/o ground) and NEMA 5-15 (w/ grounding pin).

IE, depends where your staying? but ya it's the same kinda plugin
