FS7: Potter

Thanks. Personally I feel pretty relaxed with the camera and that is good news - basically justifies the cost.

Easy to delog, and getting a nice mellow look with no weirds, a load more sat there if I wanted it, lenses working well apart from my 28-85 doesnt really focus close enough so swapped to the 35-70 which has macro at 70.

Able to pop out side (note the slo mo - not setting up a slider!) without a ND fandango.

E-mount/booster/zooms, ND, 10bit codec, HFR, focus check at the finger.. all a reportage shooter really needs :) :)

I would like sound in HFR though.

I need to get more shoots under my belt to get as comfortable as I was with a C300 but I have to say I am really enjoying the FS7. Unfortunately I'm stuck in meetings with agencies and pitch sessions this month. Need to come up with some creative ways to fit some shoot in.

Sam looks natural and fantastic.

welcome to slog3. The gamma curve that has already existed for decades and thankfully Sony decided to finally implement.

If I was grading it, there would probably be a touch more saturation and a hint of more beef in the blacks. But thats's purely down to individual taste - nothing wrong with how you're graded it.

The only thing I'd nit-pick on is the exteriors which look a little underexposed.

The first ext was a conundrum, I kind of exposed for the sky and then pulled up the shed with a tracked secondary - I guess there is a limit to digging into the shadows :)

The second is 125p for the slider look, I guess I was just under - user error :)
