GH4 Potential lens issues with EF to M4/3 Speedbooster. It fried my AF motor (maybe).

So i finally got hold of my FE to M43 speedbooster yesterday!
Slapped it on my GH4 and popped on my Canon 100mm Macro lens.

I heard the lens motor hunting around, which struck me as odd considering the Metabones doesn't support auto-focus. Anyhow, played around a bit with the camera and lens, then stuck it back on my mkiii. Guess what, the AF didn't work.
I have a feeling the speedbooster fried the motor in the lens or something as it was working just fine prior to being put on the speedbooster. Now i have a cost of $200 to fix the lens and i somewhat annoyed.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Thanks sonny. I'm aware of the merits of manual focusing when shooting motion and stills. The point of my post my to ask if anyone else had experienced issues with the speed booster damaging lens.

I have not experienced this with my Speedbooster and Canon glass. I surely hope I don't either!!
Terribly sorry that happened to you, I hope a positive resolution can be reached.
