Post_DOF_acuraRSX

The color was nice, but it's the weirdest thing, I watched it a few times and every time I felt like I was watching a model car drive down a fake road. Everything seemed too small or plasticky or something. I can't explain it.

Anyway, that's not important, the color looked great.

the artificial DOF looked cool, but it looked damn like a toy train set. lol. Looked VERY model like as someone above said.

You should change your post to say, "Look how I made this footage of real cars look like toys" and everyone here will think you are a freakin' genius!

LOL:D

unfortunately it isnt loading for me...:(

That's so weird that it does the toy car thing. I've seen this sort of thing on 3d forums and its usually due to an overly shallow depth of field. If you wanted to make it less toy like thats all I can suggest, is tone it down a bit. Also, about half of you .mov file is empty blackness... Try changing the length of your composition to what you actually need. No biggy on a small file but annoying on larger ones. thanks for the link...

the good news is if you make a demoreel, you can say "look at me make real **** turn toy" people will think you are a mad scientist. lol

Artificial DOF ?

Artificial DOF ?

How did you do the artificial DOF? I didn't know you could do DOF in post; can other NLEs like Avid achieve the same effect? And how we you able to distinguish the foreground from the background; and blur the background only?
