Give me true round-tripping between selected clips from my FCPX timeline and Motion and I will be very happy.
The publishing and rigging features are very powerful but sometimes I need to take a certain clip from my FCPX timeline and "send-to Motion" to do some work. Maybe I need to mask titles coming from objects in the frame, maybe I need to motion track a vignette/mask an object in the frame. With these tasks I NEED TO VISUALLY SEE MY CLIP in my VFX program and building an effect blind and then publishing the parameters is not going to cut it.
If I'm missing something or going about this M5/FCPX workflow all wrong please set me straight.
It's just bizarre to me that Apple would build this great compatibly between FCP7/M4 and then just throw it all away.
Again Publishing is extremely powerful but we need true round-tripping with media between apps as well.
