Post VS. NOW

So my question is as far as scene settings are conserned is it better to modify your picture first or in post with a program like magic bullet. I am wondering because it seems that color correction in post is quickly becoming better and more versitile but the in camera settings seem to have quite a few advantages as well just looking to see what some of you guys thought. Also does doing one or the other change when you use a 35mm Adapter.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I like to get a good solid picture in camera, then do any color corrections in post. It gives me the most options.

I have to agree with Horse. Good solid picture that doesn't fight your lighting design then polish it in post.

Shoot straight up - screw it up in post

Notes

Keep in mind any contradictory lighting (fluoros in front as fills which have light greenish tint with say, a big ole HMI as a kicker)

Expose for your darks? Lights? No - expose for the subject, to hell with the rest

good luck

Thanks for the help im going to be shooting a short soon and was just curious to what some veterens(sp) had been doing
