position of the EVF

Hi,

Today I received my HPX300. The EVF is directed to the bottom/ground and I can not rotate it at all to the horizontal position. Is there some kind of button to push? In the manual I can not find any instructions?

When I first unpacked mine, the EVF was extremely stiff but eventually moved (it has since loosened up nicely). Unless your packaging has some pin or something holding it in place, just continue to apply gentle force until it moves.

So to your opinion there is nothing there like a "transport lock", special Button ??? I am really afraid to damage the EVF !!!!

Edit : ok you were right it is very stiff, I put a little more force and now it moves :-)))) Thanks very much.

Another question about the AB Dionic 90 batteries I received. On both batteries the cases have many many "shrink tears". Is this normal? I am an academic chemist and to me it is just very very bad quality plastic. To me it is not acceptable moreover because AB is very expensive equipment. What do you think???

If there are issues with the plastic casing of the batteries send them back to the reseller who sold you the equipment and ask for replacements.

Not sure what you mean by "shrink tears" - can you post a picture?

sory about my poor english, I meant "shrink cracks". They are all over the battery, some start at the 3 mount knobs. I looked with a magnifier and they it really are cracks and at the edges they go around the corner. Ok I have to contact my dealer about it. Also packaging seemed a bit odd like they where not new (where already a little charged and according to the manual they should be empty).

Cracking doesn't sound good at all. As for coming with a charge, mind did have about half a charge and are definitely new. But you never know, maybe your dealer is selling you used stuff.
