Portrait photography

SilverWolf, under the category "artistic" there is a photo of a cityscape at night or dusk. I'd be interested in knowing some things about how you did this? Is it HDR? If so, what software?

Thanks,
Larry

p.s. I love the photo of the man with the garbage can/coat/hood/beard!!

Thanks. For the Skyline picture I dragged the shutter to get that picture. If i'm not mistaken that was for 3 seconds at f.4 aperture set to 100 iso on a 20D. Oh the focal length was 17mm as well

Go to my website and if anything catches your eye, I'll tell you what I used to shoot it. For the most part, everything that is in the Portraits section was shot with a 50mm 1.8 lens on a Canon 300D. I usually shoot actor headshots with a 50mm at around 1.8.

As for a place to see great photography in one place, go to the photography agencies that rep the top photographers.

Jed Root, Inc.
Art+Commerce
Opus Reps

Those are a few to get you started.
