Portable Power?

Any suggestions for a portable power pack. I would like something to power my Sony 9" NTSC monitor while shooting in the field or possibly a light or two.

Thanks.

If it's only 110v (no 12v) then you will need mains power or a generator.
Run a search fro "generator" for some good info.

Thanks, but I'm hip to the generator. I'm looking for something smaller, quiter, less expensive.

You can make your own "juice box" with a good battery pack (NiMH, li-ion, or li-poly) and an inverter. For ultra good power, get a PURE SINE inverter; they cost more, but are needed for sensitive electronics that won't run properly with a MODIFIED SINE inverter.

We made such a box, and it works like a charm. Output is 300W max, and it has about 310Wh. With some efficiency lost through the inverter, it still provides a decent amount of power. Great to recharge various equipment, and to run some CFL bulbs for lighting!
