This is the small external battery case from Porta Brace (it was part of their line in the mid '90s, but is no longer made). It was originally designed for PB 90 rectangular 12-volt batteries (these days, "PB 90" is used on a lot of styles and shapes of batteries).
I bought this one directly from Porta Brace at the same time I got a large case for my camera and a case for my audio mixer with an outboard case for wireless receivers. I think my goal was to power all the audio gear with an external battery, but for some reason, I never used this (still had the manufacturer's tag on it). Probably because I seldom used the mixer inside its case. Also, not sure why I didn't sell it with my other PB cases a while back, but it's turned up, and I'm sure it can be very useful for some shooter/audio person.
It's made of heavy-duty Cordura, in Porta Brace's signature navy color. There's no sign of wear or damage (naturally, since it was never used). Actual photos (taken a couple of weeks ago) shown here.
The interior measures approximately 7.5 x 1.25 x 4.5 inches. The pic above shows a 12-volt battery (not included with this sale) sitting inside. The back and bottom have 1/2-inch padding. The top flap closes with velcro. There is a cable opening with the flaps closing with velcro; this helps keep the rain out of the connectors.
The case has D-rings for a shoulder strap (not sure if it came with a strap, but I'm including a nice one, also never used). There are buckles on either side of the front, as well as wide velcro straps on the rear (pic below), all providing many ways to attach this case to your belt or to other cases and gear.
This case is perfect if you need to carry an external battery in that shape and size, or any other piece of equipment, especially if there are cables attaching to it. Use your imagination... this case will work for many situations. Asking price for the case and strap is $60.
If you're in or near NYC, you can inspect the case, and take, cash-and-carry, from my UWS location (I'm a few blocks from 96th/B'way), or I will ship for additional charges (case and strap are less than 1 lb.) and a PayPal prepayment.
